This is Leadership is a new series hosted by Karen Blackett CBE and Katie Lloyd that explores the behaviours, decisions and experiences behind effective leadership. Grounded in the belief that leadership is an act rather than a title, it aims to make the lessons of those who have successfully led change accessible to a wider audience.
The series examines the leadership behaviours that worked — and those that did not — how life experience shaped style, and the practical lessons guests wish to pass on. The series is supported by British Airways.
Karen Blackett CBE is the former UK President of WPP and former UK CEO of GroupM. She is a Non-Executive Director of Diageo, sits on the board of the British Fashion Council, has been Chancellor of The University of Portsmouth for the last 10 years, is part of Sky’s Diversity Advisory Council, and co-founded the Black Equity Organisation where she serves as a Trustee. She was awarded a CBE in 2025.
Katie Lloyd was formerly Global Head of Culture at the LEGO Group and Development Director and a member of the executive board of BBC News & Current Affairs. She is a trustee of The Forward Trust and sits on the board of The Arsenal Foundation.
The series is produced by HERA Productions. New episodes every Tuesday from 22 September 2026, with a bonus episode every Thursday.
